Partnered up with Classico to show you their Organic Pasta Sauce. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
When we first moved to Atlanta, Reegan was turning one and I was KILLING it. I was the woman that got hair and makeup dressed every day, kept the house super clean – like cleaned up the playroom every single night type clean, and had elaborate dinners ready to go daily. I was Ina Garten-ing it up over here. I was a regular Kristen Cavalleri.
And then I got pregnant.
When I was pregnant with Julia, I couldn’t even smell food for 3 months. So my husband, a wonderful cook, had to take over. Bless him. He is wonderful.
Then Julia was born.
Having a 2.5 yr old and an infant threw us both on our butts. Our neutral greige curated (haha) home turned into BuyBuyBaby. And I can not tell you the last time I picked up the playroom. I mean, she’s just going to destroy it tomorrow!
Let’s just say dinners have been ROUGH. I don’t have the bandwidth to even figure out what I want to eat. And most days, Reegan wants pretzel over whatever I’m serving.
So when Classico sent over their organic paste sauce with a few recipes, I was here for it. It’s $2.99 – it’s not like I was all “OMG I’ve made it!!”, but one night of no thinking? Yup. Sign me up. I’m in. Send it over.
When I got the recipe booklet, I flipped through and instantly saw Classico Cheese Ravioli in Pumpkin-Tomato Sauce – that one. That’s what we are making. Yes, PLEASE!
To be real, when Jeff got home that night. I was like “ugh, alright let’s do this… where’s the recipe.. where’s the camera… Oh man, Reegan is in PJs a size too small… Whatever it’s relatable.”(#BloggerLife bahaha) All exhausted and ridiculous. It’s so hard. Someone slap me.
You guys. It was the easiest dinner of all time and Reegan had seconds.
SECONDS!!!!
Pro Tip… Ok… Hot Mess Tip… I told her it was deconstructed pizza. I’m not wrong.
It’s this easy.
Ravioli in the water. Boom. Classico Organic Tomato & Basil sauce mixed with a little Pumpkin in a sauce pan. Done. Drain the pasta. Marry them together. Sprinkle with grated Parm. YUM.
Where has this simple idea been my whole life?!
FULL RECIPE BELOW
It was just enough pumpkin to feel special and just the perfect amount of Fall for me. (Y’all are RUSHING it!) This will be hitting our table again for sure. It’s one of those meals that you can always have ready to go for when you don’t have time or feel like thinking.
Or if people are coming over. Pairs well with Red Wine. Just sayin’.
And it’s cheap.
Organic always sounds like a buzz word for “a million dollars”. Nope. The Organic Classico Pasta Sauce is about $2.99 at Target.
I wasn’t beholden to post about this at all. But it was SO simple and delicious. AND REEGAN HAD SECONDS. And we should always share what our kids have seconds of that isn’t gummies. Because it feels like I’m Indiana Jones figuring out what the heck this kid will eat.
These are the Ingredients in the sauce:
ORGANIC TOMATO PUREE (WATER, ORGANIC TOMATO PASTE), ORGANIC DICED TOMATOES IN JUICE (ORGANIC TOMATOES, ORGANIC TOMATO JUICE, CALCIUM CHLORIDE, CITRIC ACID), ORGANIC ONIONS, ORGANIC EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, SEA SALT, ORGANIC ROASTED RED BELL PEPPERS, ORGANIC GARLIC, ORGANIC BASIL, ORGANIC SPICES, NATURAL FLAVOR.
Simple goodness.
