The Ultimate Wedding Advent Gift Guide for Your Bestie!

A Wedding Advent Calendar is my new favorite trend. I don’t know if it’s a trend yet, but let’s make it happen. For my sisters wedding, I wanted to do something extra special. Gifts and surprises are definitely her love language so I decided to create a wedding countdown of thoughtful gifts.

Getting married is traditionally one of the biggest milestones; it’s absolutely an event that deserves to be celebrated. As my sister’s wedding day approached, I want to match her excitement each morning to count down to the big day. In this post, we’ll share the ultimate wedding advent gift guide to help you create a memorable and meaningful countdown to the big day. Whether you are in a pinch, have time to perfect every detail, or just love a DIY gift there’s something for you.

I chose to do 7 sentimental and glamorous gifts for my version of the wedding advent gift guide. I wanted to make sure my budget wasn’t spread too thin either. If your budget is bigger or smaller than mine, I have created a list of alternate ideas that you can swamp or add in!

Wedding Advent Gift Guide

A wedding advent calendar is a great way to count down the days to the big day while also adding some fun and excitement to the wedding planning process. Whether you choose to go with personalized gifts or DIY crafts, there are many ways to create a memorable and meaningful wedding advent gift guide. Use these ideas to create your own unique wedding advent calendar and make the countdown to the big day even more special. A wedding is all in the details. Big or small, they make the day something truly heartfelt. So a countdown feels like a perfect set up.

The Advent Wedding Countdown Calendar I Gave My Sister

Box 1: Grandmother’s Blue Embroidered Handkerchief

I gave box one on the day of my sister’s dress fitting so the seamstress could stitch our grandmother’s handkerchief into her dress. When our grandmother passed away, I asked for her handkerchiefs in particular, and they happened to be blue and lace. I have one sewn into my wedding dress, and now my sister has one, as well.

Box 2: Gucci Lipstick and Laneige Lip Mask

Pucker up! For your first kiss as bride and groom, I made gift #2 in the wedding advent calendar a luxe lip set. I chose this Gucci lipstick because it’s a hydrating nude color (I went with Katrin Sand), and the case is absolutely stunning. My sister’s wedding photographer is incredible, and I knew it would add a perfect moment to the getting-ready photos.

The Laneige Lip Mask is a cult favorite for a reason. It’s so soft and hydrating. This set is an excellent gift for any time, not just weddings. And would make a beautiful bridesmaid gift as well.

Box 3: Eye Patches and Lavender Sleep Mist

For a truly restful night’s sleep before the big day, present number 3 of the wedding advent calendar included a soothing lavender sleep mist and relaxing beauty rest eye patches. Ensuring she wakes up feeling refreshed and ready to shine on her wedding day. Neom is my favorite brand for sleep spray. It’s a clean beauty brand, and their candles and sprays are absolute heaven. For the eye patches, you could even toss in a few extras for the bridal party getting-ready photos!

Box 4: 911 Kits and Sixpence for her Shoe

Box 4 of the wedding advent calendar contains 911 Kits and a Sixpence for her shoe. The adorable 911 Kits from PINCH are essential emergency kits that can come in handy for any unforeseen situations on the wedding day. The Sixpence is a traditional symbol of good luck and prosperity for the bride.

Box 5: Hermes Perfume Sampler

Signature scents recall memories. I loved the idea of my sister getting to sample some gorgeous perfumes and choose one that would remember her big day. And an orange box never hurt.

Box 6: Wine Stand that matched her Cake Knife

The engagement gift I gave my sister was from the Michael Aram Black Orchid collection. She was married in Thomasville, GA, and while these are orchids, they reminded me of magnolias. It felt very on-brand for the wedding’s vibe. I loved that their was an entire collection I could gift from for years to come. The bottle stand is great for parties or to hold a special bottle on a shelf.

Box 7: Engraved Bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne

As a final touch, I decided to gift an engraved bottle of Veuve Clicquot Champagne. It’s my sister’s signature drink. Her Cocker Spaniel’s name was Clicquot; there was a Clicquot foundation at the wedding, when she passed the bar… she popped Clicquot. I engraved the bottle with their wedding location and year.
