I grew up thinking December was the busiest month. But now with two young kids, I know the truth. May and August are the real runarounds. This year will be our first year with both girls in school. Just thinking of the double everything makes me tired.
So, today I’m sharing with you some of my tips and tricks for stocking up the house for those back to school days you know you’ll have.

Cereal…
Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or I don’t feel like making dinner, cereal is my absolute go to. It’s fast, the kids love it, and the clean up is easy. And because Publix has BOGO’s, I usually sneak a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch for me.
I work from home, and sometimes when the day has wrapped up for the kiddos, I like to bring my computer downstairs, turn on some mindless TV and have a bowl of cereal while I work.
All around cereal is a win. I even keep little bags full of cereal in the diaper bag and car to prevent any “quack attacks” that may take place.
Snacks…
BUY ALL THE SNACKS! We have a basement, so I can stock up, use coupons, and save big. I keep back-ups of all of the snacks in the basement. We make lunches the morning of, and with a bento lunch box, it’s easy to use a few things to fill it up. Plus Reegan is 3; If I let her live purely on Lara Bars and Annie’s Bunnies… she would. There are single package snacks in every bag, purse, stroller, and car we use. Don’t leave home without them.
Speaking of Lunch…
One thing I love doing is making pizza rolls, or something similar, to have on hand. Whether it’s an unexpected play date, a lunch box gap, or a snack on the go, these little Totino’s Pizza Rolls are perfect. Just like I love a late night bowl of cereal, “pizza pillows” are my husband’s weakness. I keep them in the freezer for a rainy day.
