The Best Lace Wire Bra as a Small Chested Women

A few months ago, my beloved GapBody sports bras started getting holes in them.

Because we KonMarie’d the house, Jeff gave me a sideways look and told me it was time they head to the trash. He was right. I tossed them. Which left me back at the worst drawing board after jeans, bra shopping.

I decided I would spend the time as a 33-year-old woman to actually find bras that fit me. I ordered A LOT of bras and tried them all on, in multiple sizes.

It was a massive bra haul.

Confession: I hate boobs. I know I’m in the minority on this, but I have full on considered getting my B/C sized boobs fully removed. I’ve Googled it and talked about it regularly for years. Especially during pregnancy and nursing when they were in the way and a disaster for clothes.

I have often tried a “big girl bra”, and have shoved them in my closet because I felt unnatural with padding as boobs.

If you are a busty babe, I linked a BUNCH of ladies below for suggestions.

Let’s just say I’m particular, and I was buying the wrong bras for my personal comfort level. At my size, everything with a wire wants to pump you up. What I learned was that I’m not a 34B or a 32D or any of the random sizes I had in my closet. And I can avoid the chicken cutlets. So I constantly just wore sports bras.

After a massive bra haul… I’m a 32C.

I have a small rib size, but a wide cup size. And my boobs are towards the size of my body, with space in the middle. This is why I have always hated bras. They ended up cutting my boob in half, making weird armpit fat, and ending up full of air in the middle.

For years, being a tiny human just made me think I would have a tiny cup that went along with my height and “flat chest”.

I thought of cup sizes like plastic surgery talk on Bravo. I was totally wrong.

Once I landed on the bra that felt and looked best, I return all the other ones. And after a week of wearing a bra that actually fit, I ordered 2 more colors during their sale. (Although, I honestly only wear the black and nude ones. Save your dollars, I don’t know when you wear a purple bra.)

The Bare Natural Lace Plunge has space for my deep V neck shirts, lays nicely, helping the post nursing ladies out with a wide underwire, but isn’t padded or overbearing. It’s very bralette, but with wire, and some minimal structure.

I know every single woman fits bras differently, so I asked around and found some friends talking about their bras too. I wanted to make a list of other bra posts that might be helpful.

Donate Old Bra’s Here:

I have sent a box of bras here and absolutely love that there is an outlet for bras. After nursing, and changing sizes for years, I hate wasting something that is seemingly a luxury.

A bra can make you feel completely different. So if you are looking to pass off yours, Check out Free the Girls.

They send you a tax receipt in the mail too. I’m about to send another box. It would be a great girls night bra drive idea too!

They have several drop off locations listed HERE!
