More Than Maternity Clothes | Style For All Stages

I refused to buy maternity clothes until the last second, and that was a mistake.

At 8 months pregnant, my friends basically begged me to head to the store for some jeans. It was so cold outside and my belly was hanging out of my t-shirts. Daily the would say “Candace, just go get maternity clothes!” But it felt like a waste.

My Measurements for Reference:

Height: 5 ft

Weight: 127 lbs

Regular Sizes: Jeans 25/26 – Tops S/M – Bra Size 32C

I got a size SMALL in everything. Most of it fit perfectly, but I probably could have sized down in the the wrap dress. I would say that dress depends on your bust size more. There is a decent amount of fabric in the bust. My chest has ‘regulated’ 6 months in to nursing.

Antibes Dress

This is the sweetest dress. It’s actually navy blue, but the lighting indoors can be rough.

Perfect for Thanksgiving with a bump, without a bump… whatever your season. There is forgiving belly space, and cute ruffle details. Honestly, even it pregnancy isn’t on your radar – this is a keeper.

For all postpartum nursing dresses, henley style button downs are key. You won’t be able to nurse from below in public with out access. You’ll need a deep-v, buttons, or a zipper situation for baby.

Sweet patterned dresses are amazing because they can be dressed up or down with heels, sneakers, a leather jacket, or a blazer. The sky is the limit.

Print Drapey Wrap DressEveryone needs a good wrap dress. DVF knows best, right? Somehow I didn’t have one in my closet already, so when I saw this one I jumped at it. It is so comfortable and classic regardless of if you plan on getting pregnant or not. I’ll be wearing it to my daughter’s Baptism in February!__________

A cozy basic. This top has nursing friendly zippers on both sides hidden in the seams. You honestly can’t even tell I’m nursing in it. See it in action on Instagram.

__________Floral Embroidered TopThis is totally off season, but it’s just too sweet. I plan (fingers crossed) to nurse Julia for a while, so this will take me back into Spring. For Fall, I’m planning to throw my leather jacket on over it and play off the yellow details. There are hidden nursing slits under the ruffle! You would have zero idea. I had to actively look for them. Which is great, because it means you won’t be accidentally hanging out. But how amazing is that?!
