The first decision I made for this home was black fireplaces. It was the first step I took from All White Everything, to Let’s Play.
Moving allowed me to throw away the “forever” pressures of decision making.
If you are going to go bold. GO ALL IN.
What Paint We Used!
Tricorn Black is across the board the best and truest black you can find. Most of the posts you see about window frames being painted, it’s Tricorn Black. Doors… just go with Tricorn Black.
When we first moved in, we had a painter help with all of the big areas. He suggested to use a dark primer first.
Primer
Sherwin Williams allowed me to tint by primer Tricorn Black. (Home Depot, not so much, do what you can). This primer made the process go so smoothly.
Duration Home Interior Acrylic Latex
Sherwin Williams recommended their Duration paint. I went with Satin. I don’t love a glossy
finish, so this is just enough to be able to wipe it off easily.
